Eighteen years of trust, now extended.

Now open for enrollment
Lower Elementary Program

Elementary years are too important to leave to convention.

The ages of 6 to 12 mark one of the most extraordinary periods of human development — a time of explosive curiosity, moral reasoning, and social imagination. Most schools miss it entirely. We won't.

Lower Elementary (6 - 9 yrs)

Now open for enrollment at our Shenandoah Campus

For nearly two decades, our preschool program has been a cornerstone of Miami families' early childhood journeys. We've watched hundreds of children blossom — and then, too often, had to hand them off to schools that didn't share our philosophy. That changes now.

Our elementary program is the natural, intentional continuation of everything our preschool families know and love — with the same commitment to the whole child, the same respect for the developmental path, and the same deep roots in this community.

Building upon the foundation of the our Primary Program, Village Montessori's Elementary environment is also deeply rooted in Montessori principles — supporting independence, curiosity, responsibility, and a strong sense of community.

Research consistently shows that the 6–12 window is when children's lifelong relationship with learning is formed. Traditional schooling often gets this backwards — rewarding compliance over curiosity and memorization over mastery. Montessori was designed precisely for this moment. We want this to be a place where children not only learn academically, but also grow into thoughtful, capable, and confident individuals.

Hands-On, Concrete Learning

Abstract concepts in math, language, science, and history are introduced through physical materials children can touch, manipulate, and explore — building understanding from the ground up.

Uninterrupted Work Periods

Our three-hour morning work cycles allow children to enter deep focus — the kind that neuroscience tells us is essential for real learning. No arbitrary bells pulling them away mid-thought.

Multi-Age Community

Mixed-age classrooms create a living ecosystem of learning. Younger children are inspired; older ones reinforce their own mastery by teaching. This mirrors the real world in ways single-grade classrooms never can.

A Global & Cultural Worldview

Cosmic Education — Montessori's signature elementary framework — places every subject within the grand narrative of the universe and human civilization. Children learn not just facts, but how everything connects.

INTRODUCING OUR BILINGUAL ELEMENTARY PROGRAM
Three planes. One seamless journey.

Our elementary program is organized into three developmental levels — each carefully aligned to how children actually grow, think, and learn during the 6–12 window. Every level builds on the last while honoring where each child is right now.

Our Lower Elementary Classroom supports children in developing critical thinking, responsibility, and intrinsic motivation. Lessons are individually tailored, encouraging students to explore topics in depth while maintaining academic rigor and independence.
